On behalf of the South Florida Chapter of the Holmwood Past Students Association I would like to congratulate the the Holmwood girls athletics team for registering their fourth championship in a row at the recently concluded VMBS Athletics Championship at the National Stadium. Ladies you have done a magnificent job; for this we are proud of you. Many thanks to the Coach Maurice Wilson and his staff for his leadership and dedication. I must also thank Mr. Chester McCarthy for the tremendous job he has done managing the team. Thanks must also go out to Vie Griffiths, Franklin Williams, Hyacinth Bailey, Mike Reid, John Lawful, Courtney Leaky and the other past students who worked hard and long to facilitate the athletes. Thanks also to the past students who were at the stadium cheering the girls along; Keith Espeut, Donald Smith, Arnold Bloomfield, Sezvin Hamilton, to name a few. I was very dissappointed that more past students did not attend the activities at the stadium, considering this would make it four in a row for the maroon and gold hair and one gold sock clad girls of Holmwood. The experience of being at the stadium watching the girls perform so briliantly was very exhilarating for me. I would like to use this time to appeal to Holmwood past students to give some financial support to the Holmwood Athletics program. It has been a difficult task for the individuals concerned to get the program to this level we should make an effort to maintain this high standard. Once we loose this level it will be hard to restore. Many of us have attended Holmwood where we got training to be where we are; a little from everyone will go a long way.

Thanks to the Coaches/Athletes/Supporters who have worked hard to make this possible. C&WJ offers free high-speed Internet service to KC, Holmwood Observer Reporter Monday, April 10, 2006 Cable & Wireless Jamaica (C&WJ) last Friday announced that it would provide free high-speed Internet service for life to Kingston College and Holmwood Technical High School as a reward for their victories in this year's VMBS /ISSA Boys' and Girls' Championships respectively. The gesture, said C&WJ president and CEO Rodney Davis, was further proof of the telecoms giant's commitment towards increasing information-based learning in schools. He added that it was only fitting that superior performance on the field should be matched by the superior performance of C&WJ's broadband network, which, he said, was the fastest, most reliable and technologically advanced ADSL network in Jamaica. Davis also said that provision of the company's high-speed Internet service to both institutions would go a far way in enhancing the learning experience and performances of students as well as teachers. Cable & Wireless Jamaica pumped $3 million into the athletics championships which ran over four days (March 29-April 1) at the National Stadium in Kingston. The cash injection earned the company the exclusive rights to provide telecommunications service for the event. Kingston College secured their sixth consecutive hold on the boys' title with 233.5 points, while Holmwood scored 319 points to take the girls' title for the fourth straight year.

Would be nice if more Holmwood Past student assist the institution we so proudly annouce being a part of. Apparently based on all reports in the printed and electronic media in Jamaica the sports powerhouse Holmwood has become is under heavy financial pressure. Holmwood can stay the course with these good performances if its past students and friends step up and contribute. With all the chapters out there a clear source of funding can become available if we all work together. Peace.

Good to see someone taking an active role in trying to get something done for the school (see Fitzroy Francis Post). However I fear without an active council or committee it will not progress because people will generally not participate unless they perceive transparency. BR
Need to see Chapter presidents stepping up and galvanize action to meet the school development goal. I assume these chapters were formed to also assist the school. Reunions and school dances, properly organize is a good way to raise funds. After one of the many championship with euphoria in the air is a good way to raise fund. People are out there willing to contribute…. aggressive advertisement can do it. Come on presidents lets see what you guys are made of!!!!!!BR

Greetings Everyone I am just curious as to who the individual with the initials LD is. I would like to pose some questions to him or her.
1. Are you aware of the International Executive of the Holmwood Past Students Association, its functions and completed projects at Holmwood?
2. Are you a paid member of a local chapter of the Holmwood Past Students Association?
3. Have you personally made any contributions to Holmwood?
4. Are you aware that without the assistance of the Eastern Chapter in Jamaica, the many recent successful achievements at the school especially in sports would not be possible?
5. Are you aware the New York Chapter has almost single handedly sponsored the 'Penn relays' for the past six years (might be more).
6. Are you aware that the Toronto Chapter has just donated $C15,000 dollars to the refurbishing of the Computer Lab?
7. Are you aware that the Atlanta Chapter spearheaded a Scholarship Program two years ago and was able to with the help of the South Florida Chapter and the Maryland Chapter donate 29 scholarships last year. The scholarships are worth $US850.00 per student? These are just some of the projects that the Chapter Presidents together with their overworked members have planned and completed. The individuals that should be called upon are the ones who have remained unmoved by the many problems that Holmwood has been experiencing over the years. I am again imploring all those past students who have left Holmwood and never contributed anything to the school to start now. I think it is not too much to ask each past sudent for $US100.00 for the year; this would go a long way in assisting the school to aleviate some of its financial woes. Thanks to those who have been contributing over the years; we know you will continue to give your donations whether it be financial, educational, physical, or whatever way you have been supportive.

I appreciate Dalrio,s response to MR/MS LR. If this person is so concerned and has such bright ideas why hide behind some initials. If you are really concerned come forward and make your contribution, stop calling on others to do and you start doing.

Thanks for the rapid response to my post. While my intentions were never intended to criticize and downplay the contribution you are all making I simply want to point to comments currently being carried in the print and electronic media in Jamaica and these are painting Holmwood Technical in a negative light. However my post seems to have a struck a cord since I see request for a $100 US/past student being asked for. Contributing a post on this forum I suspect does not necessitate one to be able to pay a $100.00 but of course we will try. Please be reminded not all of us have good jobs and can contribute this $100. But while we pat our selves on the back on the excellent job we are doing here are some facts. Fact – Girls Coach Mr. Maurice Wilson has reported he will be taking a more subdue role in the teams preparation next year Gleaner/Observer report. Financial problem? Fact- TVJ or CVM report showed badly deteriorated sport facility i.e. a very worn high jump bag, dilapidated long jump jumping pit. Fact- high number of injuries on boy’s athletic team attributed to hard training surface. The coach of the boy’s team made these comments on CVM TV. Fact- Footballers board upstairs at the pavilion at Macka Stadium. Note this place have decorative blocks that allow the wind to blow into the building. Fact-Coaches not paid on time. I could go on and on but I know this is all voluntary and the intention is not to allow my post to be denigrating or to sound fractious but remember those that are contributing I know the kids are grateful and for those like myself who do not have it to give make some effort. This is my last post on the subject. Peace

Some interenting comments arising from LD comments. Come on Peope I live in New york and evertime I visit home and run into an old boy I hear the same thing. Money problem. Seems to me everyone celebrate when the institution does well but only a few of you putting your money in it. Those sitting on the fence get off! Your Alma Mater needs you!. Mr/Miss LD do not be run off, at least the hardship you allude to is out in the open. If the cap fit?

Teachers at the alma mater are MAD!!! Heard that there was an emergency meeting of the teachers. Some things that were aired is not fit for airplay, ...yet. People are hoping that some members of Admin will be in silver bangles. Shame, shame. Heard that the checks of the teachers at the alma mater bounced at the bank? Teachers went to cash their checks and were very very embaRASSED!!! Frankie needs to take this up because the level of coruption that is perceived to be taking place there is unbelievable and right under him nose. INVESTIGATION is a MUST. If what is alleged is proven to be factual, then heads MUST roll. Principal, bursar and assistant bursar. Some nests are being feathered. Has anyone seen the $9 000 000 of teachers' deductions? Shame, shame!!!

I do not have to say much since Dalrio,Millicent & Muscles addressed Mr.LD nicely on behalf of all of us who have taken some time out of our busy schedule to support our alma mater.Obviously,we all get the feeling tha Mr.LD is out of touch as to what is taking place.I really do have two questions for LD.
1.When was the last time you attended a function put on by one of the (6) existing chapters?
2.What have you done/contributed to your alma mater since you left Holmwood? All of us would love to hear from you.

Please do not forget all those scholarships that we too have given.Cheers!

October 21, 2005 marked the beginning of a new term of office for the International Executive,
with this in mind I wish to welcome everyone on board.
As we face the challenges of the coming year, it is my wish that we all become one cohesive
body as fragmentation and insularity been the major hindrance that affect us. Let us also try to
gain stronger membership by encouraging all past student to become part of this body.
At the recently election of New Officers the usual energy associated with changes was evident.
This was due largely to the diverse composition of the new executives. Let us channel this re-newed
energy to positive, as we work to the common good of our Alma Master-Holmwood
Technical High School. I look forward to your suggestive comments as well as queries.
Let me also take this opportunity to wish you and your families all the best during this yuletide
season. We can make it happen- “Lets stay together”
Regards,
Courtney Leakey
President.

'He died in my arms!' - Jamaican-born soldier recounts Iraq war horror...HOLMWOODITES published: Wednesday | August 3, 2005 Glenroy Sinclair, Staff Reporter Jerome Young, a Jamaican who served in the US Army in Iraq, points to a tattoo memorialising his fellow Jamaican Andre Chuck, who died in his arms while in the field. - ANDREW SMITH/PHOTOGRAPHY EDITOR DURING HIS year-long tour of duty in Iraq as a member of the United States Army, Jerome Young saw one of his best friends killed and experienced the horrors of the war. Born in the volatile Maxfield Avenue area of Kingston, Young says he has greater respect for freedom having witnessed first-hand the mayhem war in the Middle East has brought. Gripped by painful memories, the former Holmwood Technical student twitches his face as he tells the story of how Andre Chuck, a 28-year-old Jamaican, died in his arms during combat in Iraq on December 21, 2003. "We had just dropped off some government officials and were on the road driving when we came under attack by insurgents. One of my comrades got shot in the arm. Chuck got shot in the face, I could see the hole in his head," said Young, as he pointed to a portrait of Chuck, tattooed on his right hand, under the words 'Friends for Life'. TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE "For a moment I could not believe it. I held Chuck and shook him several times, but he died in my arms! It was a very traumatic experience for me, I hope I will never ever experience anything like that again. It was one of my worst experiences during my one year and three days in Iraq," Young told The Gleaner yesterday. The death of his close friend impacted on him for several days. He began suffering from stress as he was unable to sleep, eat and keep focus. He even lost several pounds. People were dying around him in large numbers. At one stage, he did not believe he would return home alive. "No, I thought I would have been killed because things were happening spontaneously. You just don't know what to expect next because no where was safe, sometime we were involved in shootings which lasted for about 30 minutes," he said. The two Jamaicans were members of the Field Artillery Unit which supports other teams that were out in the field and needed fuel, ammunition, food and other necessities. Chuck, who died leaving two young sons, was a former resident of McIntyre Villa, better known as Dunkirk in east Kingston. He was a former Vauxhall Secondary student. In his attempt to release the stress, Young took time out each day to record daily events in his diary, plus writing and recording songs on his laptop. He has since recorded an album, plus live footage of the various events during his tour of duty in Iraq. The album is dedicated to his slain friend. Young said he has no regrets joining the U.S. Army.

Really appreciate the contribution of everyone and everyone's contribution is important. However, there needs to be a bit more editing prior to submitting articles. Remember!!!! we are selling 'ourselves' as Holmwoodites. So pleeease! mest-up (messed), pass stud.(past stud), etc. This is all done in love for my fellow Holmwoodites who share similar high sentiments. Just a bit more care, pls. Love you all.

Guys, More than any other time we need your support. We cannot make a good thing die. Look at the performance of the athletes last Saturday. Four (4) relays won by each team. Can't recall any other school (as great as they think they are)achieving that feat. Be sure to come out for meeting this Saturday March 5th, the usual venue is at GUARDIAN LIFE Half Way Tree and let us finalize plans for Champs which is scheduled for March 16-19, only two weeks away.
Please call up your friends and let this be a great turn out..

Hello Guys, Have you seen the headlines in the news papers today? "HOLMWOOD DOMINATE GIBSON RELAYS". They have made a statement and I am sure you all want to share in the historical moment of seeing our girls take home(holm) the title for the third (3rd) year and see our boys put the great KC, JC and CBar in their places. We would like to buy out an entire block at the Stadium on Saturday March 19 so please circle that date on your calenders and make arrangements to be there. The tickets go very fast once they go on sale so we have to be ready to purchase as soon as they become available. As a result I am asking you to contact me and make arrangements if you are planning to be there and wants to sit with the group. I think the cost per ticket will be $1000.00 if the has not increased over last years.
Please call me at 936-7326 or 385-2078 or email me at holmwood_psa@hotmail.com.
Spread the news to all those you are in contact with and "LETS'S STAY TOGETHER".

Greetings to all. The purpose of this posting is to enlighten all Holmwoodites who visit this site about a trip myself (Roan "Bigga" Bennett 88-90) and a fellow batch mate Mark Reid (84-89) made to Holmwood on Monday July 12 to visit the football team that is now being coached by one of our fellow batch mate (Dave Diego Anderson 88-92). As some of you know the team typically camps out over the summer months on Campus in the dorms. We heard that the conditions of camp was not ideal and conducive to putting a good product on the field when the D-cup season starts up. We decided to check this out for ourselves, What we found upon our arrival was shocking. The members of the team are poorly equipped, I looked around and none of the 28 young men in camp were wearing shin guards, the ones wearing cleats for the most part had to use their shoe laces to hold them together, others were wearing sneakers. upon seeing this we went around and asked every person in camp to submit to us their shoe sizes. Mark, being a former and probably one of the best goalie during his years at Holmwood could not believe the condition the current goal keepers glove was in, the back-up goalie did not even own a pair for himself. We were also informed that if it weren't for a couple of Alums that still live in Jamaica (Maurice Johnson and Lloyd Dennis to name a few) the team wouldn't have any food to eat during camp. Last year during camp they had to cook for themselves, a lot of times, the food they cooked were donated by the farmers from Rusty Town who you all know will not forsake their Holmwood team. I am not sure what the best approach is in terms of helping, but Mark Reid and myself have pledged to Diego that we will do everything in our power to get the word out to the greater Holmwood community. Once Mark returns from Jamaica, him and I will get together and put together a game plan for practice gears (cleats, shin guards, pinnies, etc.) We will be reaching out to the Alums that we are in touch with for help. That being said of any of you who read this would like to find out more about the teams plight, you can contact coach Anderson at 876-862-8674. I can be reached at 617-359-6793, or by e-mail at rbennett16@juno.com, Mark can be reached at 617-839-3671. There is only so much that we have individuals can do, however I do believe that if we all come together, we can effect some serious change and help bring home the Decosta Cup to the Hill...Also keep in mind that last year under these horrible conditions they were still able to remain competitive….

And as I I am about to pursue my doctoral studies in educational administration I just want to say thank you . Mrs Mercy James, my english teacher, Mr. B. South My history teacher and Mr. Thompson My art teacher. My typing teacher never made the list cause she told me that I would never amount to nothing. Hamlin,I thought that you had abandoned us after that bononoonos time we had.Guys it was so great that weekend.I am with you about that 2 yrs.thing instead of 4yrs.Just a thought ,there are so many things needed by the old girl on the hill, can the alumni executive have active representatives for the years in cells of say 6 i.e.-66-71(1) 71-74 (2)etc.find a problem and then for a particular timeline work on the project?.Each calender year a different batch of six would continue the journey or find other things to do. I am concerned about that posting about the footballers.74 concentrated on the computer aspect, another year can adopt the footballers, one the track team and so forth. It would minimise the ommission of some other needy areas.Just food for thought as it would erase the thought that nothing is been done to help the old girl on the hill.

Hello everyone, The day has come and it was very very good, based on the response of those who were fortunate enough to be physically present, it was worth the effort. The purpose of having this reunion was twofold, the primary one being coming together to celebrate having been brought together by an institution that gave us more than an education. This aspect as i said before and will repeat to make all who didnt/ couldnt come feel really bad, was very very good. Thirty of our batch members and eight from other batches, came together on the 29th of June in Runawaybay and had a wonderfull time guessing who was who, remembering who did what, who said what, eating, drinking , dancing, taking pictures and much more? In the afternoon we had a showing of the cd that was done from pictures from various sources, it went over well and i know it will have the same effect on anyone who view it, this is still available so please place your order. (us$10.00 all proceeds going toward the computer fund ) The secondary purpose of our get together was to collect contributions toward the schools computer fund. This was again very good ( note i said only one very) but there is much room for additional contributions and for those who would like to add their contribution, please send a cheque to me at SYSTEMS & INNOVATIONS LTD, 80 HALF WAY TREE RD., KINGSTON 10 , HOWEVER, PLEASE MAKE THE CHEQUE PAYABLE TO : HOLMWOOD PAST STUDENTS ASSOCIATION. I will acknowledge receipt of each payment and add it the $125,000.00 ja$ that we were able to give to the association on behalf of the BATCH OF 74, this amount includes $ja10,000.00 from other batch members who liked what we were doing and came on board. Our action has resulted in other batches doing the same, please encourage others from other batches that you meet and from our own as well. Remember the school needs 50 computers plus 1 main server, in addition to printers etc. I will attempt to attach the picture of the handing over of our contribution. to all who came and made it a special day, A BIG THANK YOU, to Mr. Twigger, for all those memories in pictures, THANK YOU, to Allan Hutchinson, 10,000 THANK You, more will be said on this. Again I say THANK YOU ALL, Junior & Ceciele

The 1969-73 batch reunion at Ballentine,Mammee Bay Estate in Ochio Rios was SPLASHING AND SPLENDID. It was truly a wonderful, inspiring, refreshing and exciting event. We greeted each other with a feeling of belonging. Some of us had not seen each other in 31 years.I was rejuevenated, recharged, refilled, and revitalized as we sang and dance together, ate and drank together, sat, walked and talked together, and laughed and cried together. We rolled back the hands of time and reminisce on the good old times we spent at Holmwood. Our first grub concert was a featured item. We could hear Arnold singing stum, stum, stum and Isabella singing,"Isabella yu a breed? No sah. Den a how yu get de belly? Mi no know sah." Hey Jolly, the food you prepared was scrumptious and Ballentine Inn was definitely the ideal place to be. Slobbo, the music you played could not be better. Every song you played reminded me of some event or something about Holmwood during our time there. Our batchmates that were absent were also remembered. We could not complete the stories about the Boys' Dormitory without hearing the voice of Louis Gordon (Screechy), Winston McKenzie, Charles Russell, Ira Easington (Pele),Martin Gayle, Norman Dunkley,David Johnston,Owen-Paul Davey,Delroy Cameron, and Clive Dixon. How could we speak about cricket without seeing Cordell Harrow,Morgan,Uter, and Trevor Brown (skibba)? How could we hold back the tears when our Head Boy Jephtah Reid asked us to paused for a moment of silence in memory of Norma Yorke,Owen Williams,Winston Smith,Harry Jones, Archibald Scarlet,Patrick Shay,Carol Hendrick, and Leonora Dixon. Special thanks to Rodrick Campbell(jolly), Michael Linton(Slobbo), John Lawful, Christiana Anderson,Willis,Delroy Webb,Cecile and Junior Taylor, and the Holmwood International Alumni Association who made this all possible. Thanks also to the owner of this web site who gave us the opportunity to communicate with each other. May God continue to bless us all.

Noticed my previos entry somehow ended up in the Bulletin section and I just want it to be known. To the organizing comittee of 04 Holmcoming a big big thank you. Guys you have outdone yourselves. It was evident that you all worked very hard into making it so successful. I especially enjoyed the picnic on the farm. I am so proud to see such a beatiful place owned by a 'son of Holmwood'. Viola and others, thanks for the fringes - the drops, the blue draws and the gizzada. Guys we must endeavour to have this more often. Hyacinth Bailet, Christine Seivright, Millicent Campbell, McCook, John Lawful and all who I have failed to mention. God Bless you lovely people. You are a wonderful product of 'the girl on the hill'. Thanks for a splendid time on behalf of Hervin and I.

Hope I wont deduct from the hardwork and many well-deserved compliments sent to the organizing committee. My little beef is that most of the events were supported by mainly people from overseas. I do want to ask the local people what has gone awry? Holmwood has done more good than harm to most of us. The onus should be on all of us to support our old school. People from abroad don't only make it a vacation time but we also feel obligated to support. The local people who attended and organized. Thanks again. Franklin Williams, Leaky, Cecile, Jr, et al, hats off to you. God Bless you all and lend you a long, successful and healthy life.

The wonder years (the years I spent attending Holmwood). All the teachers did a very good job teaching us, they may not have been your favorite teacher (s) but they were all special to other past students and still are teaching present students. Mr. South, Mrs. Mercy-James, Mr. Bailey, Mr. T, Ms. "Mac" and all my former teachers at Holmwood. Thank you for putting up with our teenage behavior during those four years. Looking back from 1986-1990 I really appreciated what you all did for me. Mr. Hector, eventhough I was not in any of your classes, you taught me that life holds many possibilities and that is extremely valuable. Thank all of you very much. May God bless and keep you all. May He shine his light upon you and give you strength.

My hats off to the 2004 Holmcoming planners. Guys you all were amazing. Think you have set a precedence that will make other alumni jealous. The organization was excellent. I certainly had a wonderful time that I would not have traded for anything. The atmosphere was truly a Holmwood spirit with everyone in a jolly mood and smiling as we all went along. People were just strikin-up conversations with everyone whether they knew each other or not. There were no 'grubs or grubesses'. Thanks a million guys on behalf of Hervin and myself. We should all resolve to make that place a better one so everyone will have the same or even close the good time many of us had. Many of us owe Holmwood for our 'roundedness'.

Hello everyone, just thinking while looking at some of the bulletins. If we had a way of getting all this information to the general school population on their notice board, it could help in generating interest from the school body and get them to see that they are not alone in the struggle while at the same time allowing them an avenue to make comments and suggestions. What do you think? The web person could create an email to the school of each posting, which they would then print and display on the schools notice board inviting comments. If we get the student feeling a part of the solutions now, we should have no difficulty getting them to becoming members of the association. We could even allow the graduating class to become the youth arm of the association. Some teachers are complaining that they feel left out of activities planned by the association which requires their participation. Some still wont help even if they know before, but it cant hurt to get them involved before the event. Thanks to all who contributed to the computer fund, however, a lot more is required so please try even harder.

I am sure all members of the Holmwood family join me in congratulating the Jamaican Olympic Athletes for their fine accomplishments at the recent summer games held in Athens, Greece. They made us feel proud to be Jamaicans at home and abroad. Also I wish that all friends and family in Jamaica will make it safely through hurricane Ivan as it is now moving towards Jamaica. Our prayers are with you at this time

Hey all, I certainly hope and prayed that everyone family came through the perils of Ivan with minimal damages. This hurricane went over our homeland and left his footprints without any regards for our countrymen. This is the time for us to pick the good things from the bad things. The most important thing for us to realize is that Jamaica was spared from the onslaught of the Ivan's 'eye'. I think it is still baffling the meteorologist as to how the eye wobbled and shifted without making contact. See I know that every Jamaican on the planet was calling on The Most High whether it be Jah Jah, God Almighty, Allah, Jehovah, they were calling. I am thankful that my folks were spared from damages. Once I was able to talk to them, I turned to finding information as to how the 'old girl' on the hill came away from Ivan. Below is a summary of the damages:
1. the 6th form block was badly damaged roof/structure
2. The auditorium back structure was damaged
3. The Electrical shop damaged to roof/structure
4. 'Jordan' damaged to roof
5. Principal residence was totally flooded - he is currently seeking refuge at Villa Bella
6. One of the teacher's cottage totally lost its roof
7. Amidst all of the above the damn looters came in and looted food items from the tuck shop as well as the canteen.
Number seven is the one that totally boils my blood. People like those can never be better as long as they have breath going through their nostrils.

Good Morning. Just a note to let you know that I just heard from Aunt who lives across the hill in Chudleigh from Holmwood. She said that the school was badly damaged. Roofs were lost etc. Also, the people who were sent there for shelter looted things (refrigerator, stove and other things from the school) Regards and God Bless

I must take this opportunity to thank all the Holmies who made my stay in Canada and the US a very memorable one.Now that I am back home I value their friendship even more. They would call to find ouy how I was and if there as anything they could do to make my stay even better. Not to mention those who came to my birthday party. It was wonderful to see the guys. The best surprise was seeing Michael Leslie whom I have not seen in 31 years! He was my gift from Porter. The big joke was he came in the room and did not even recognise me!Muley,Porter,Michael,Fergie,Joan from the Canada crew,Thank you. Dalrio and the owner of Marcia's in Fort Lauderdale (can't remember his name ,but he is one of us)Thanks for that pleasant Sunday Lunch.Dalrio ,you made an excellent recomendation. As soon as I find Junior Taylor I'll ask him to publish the pictures on the net because I am a real cocoa-head when it comes to these technical things. On a serious note, the vadalising and looting of the old Girl is a big blow. The "Rustianians" are no better than when we were there. The big difference is that these ones hve their degrees in "teefing" the others were just learning "teefing".The generation of Rusties get worst with the passage of time. They need a Bath in the Stream of Change.

Hello all Holmwoodites in the Kingston, St. Andrew, St. Catherine and St. Thomas areas. This is to remind, or to inform those who do not know, that the Eastern Chapter meets every first Saturday at the Guardian Life offices in Premier Plaza. Our meeting commences a 2.30 pm and we are looking for some new faces with new ideas and new energy to keep the Association alive and vibrant. Holmwood needs the contribution and input of all of us, not just a few. We all have benefitted from the "Old Girl" on the hill and we can better serve her by staying connected. So as is our motto "Let's Stay Together" and help to keep the flag of Hoolmwood flying high.

Gretings friends.....I apologise for not responding as soon as I return from our heart warming reunion recently.....this apparent delay is evidence that I was still in a state of reminiscence.......to be truthful and absolutely without any shame, tears rolled down my face in remembering those wonderful moments that can only be cherished in our hearts......the photo cd that I received is well secured and whenever I opened those photos and hear that particular music or theme being played, oh boy....I just freeze before the monitor......anyway, I strongly support the 2 years for our re-union.....cheers to all past students especially my batch of '74 and a hearty greetings to marcia u know who of 5a. cheers to all

Hey Guys!Let us remember Ivan Anderson at this tim as he struggles with the negative forces in the Parish Council. He is strong but with a few more prayers he will be stronger. I was so amused at the Mayor struggling to speak "Henglish" while Ivan just calmly spoke the language as it should be. You go Andy. That's a "Holmie" for you.
